Tour thorough the Potomac Tidal Basin and the National Mall as you see their many great sights. You'll cover about four miles in three hours, which includes time to stop and explore many of the attractions along the way. In addition, your expert guide will share tips and historical fact about the sights you see.

Your National Mall bike tour will include visits to the Vietnam Veterans Memorial and Lincoln Memorial. Each of the walls of the Vietnam Memorial are 246 feet long and feature 74 granite panels which are inscribed with a total of 58,722 names. You'll also see the Jefferson Memorial, World War II Memorial, Martin Luther King Jr. Memorial, the White House, and the Washington Monument. Due to political turmoil at the time, the Washington Monument's construction began in 1848, but was not actually completed until 1884. The Monument finally opened to the public 40 years later, in 1888.

Touring Washington, DC by bike is a great way to keep fit and stay active while on vacation.

Please Note: Every tour includes a bottle of water, a light snack, and all the equipment needed for each rider. Children may ride their own bike as long as they can operate handle brakes and are over 4'6" tall. Otherwise there are other child friendly options such as tandem bikes and trailers available for rent.

Recommended Dress
We recommend wearing seasonally appropriate clothing that is not too loose and closed-toed shoes. Flip flops are not permitted on this tour.
Restrictions
For a child to ride their own bike on tour, they must be able to operate hand brakes and be tall enough to clear the cross bar, which is typically at least 4'5" tall. Individual bikes are available for children 4’6” and taller. Toddlers and smaller children can ride behind a parent or guardian in trailer carriers or on trailer tandems that attach to adult bikes. To ride in a trailer carriage, the child needs to be able to hold up their head up and wear a helmet. Individuals under 18 are required to wear a helmet. Tours may be cancelled if the weather makes for dangerous riding conditions. This tour is not wheelchair accessible.
